I work for Junior Achievement of East Tennessee and I am passionate about what we do here because we are helping to shape the future business and community leaders right here in our local community. 

What is JA?
Junior Achievement empowers young people to own their future economic success by enhancing the relevancy of education. JA programs ignite the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work in a 21st-century global marketplace.

What is the JA Bowling Bash?
The JA Bowling Bash is a challenge event for local companies of to have a fun, team oriented way to support JA. Teams of bowlers will raise money for JA and come to a bowling center in May to have a great time. Awards will be given to the top overall fundraising firm and the top fundraising and scoring teams. Bowl a Thon events help JA to reach 15,000 K-12 students in the Greater Knoxville and East TN area with economic education and workforce preparation, inspiring them to succeed in a global economy.

Why should we be involved?
• It’s all about the KIDS.
• It’s a great source of fun and entertainment.
• It’s a great opportunity for a company outing and for employee team building.
• You might win a trophy…and your firm might, too!
• It’s a fun way to support the community and our kids.

How to Participate:
• You and 4 others will team up to compete against teams from your company and other companies.
• Teams of bowlers secure pledges/donations from friends, family, vendors, neighbors or anyone you know.
• Come out to to bowl and have a great time.
