Plunge for Special Olympics Massachusetts
Dear Comrades,
Once again I'm taking the plunge... except this time there's no honeymoon!!
I will be jumping into the ice cold Atlantic Ocean on Feb. 16th and raising money for the Special Olympics Massachusetts in the process! Yes, it's absolutely insane, the sea will be angry my friends, and the water temp should be hovering right above freezing!!!!!
Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support - and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to plunge with us or donate too!
Thank you,
James

Update: Feb 16, 2008
Today, February 16, 2008, our team raised $2,260.00 for the Special Olympics Massachusetts at the Revere Beach Passion Plunge. Land temperature was 20°F and water temperature was 38°F. That's -6.6°C land and 3.3°C water temperature for our UK friends! Me, Susannah, Ryan, and Ethan plunged to represent Team Firstgiving at the fundraiser. Entering the ocean actually wasn't that bad, however running back ashore was absolutely brutal, we were ice cold, numb, and in agony! Luckily it was a beautiful sunny day, lots of wonderful people, lots of money raised for a great charity, and fun stories to tell our kids some day. Thank you to all who supported us.
