SeaCare Health Services

Three Notch Century - Team SeaCare North Conway,  New Hampshire

James Fieseher's Fundraising Page

Dear Family and Friends,

As you may know, I am a Board Member at SeaCare Health Services, a seacoast area non-profit organization, whose aid and assistance mean more than ever to members of the seacoast area communities.  SeaCare provides Care Coordination to individuals who do not have health insurance and links them to a network of more than 400 health care professionals who volunteer their time and donate their services.

In the current economy, the number of people losing their jobs along with the increase cost of health insurance has resulted in a dramatic boost to SeaCare enrollments.  In comparing the first 6 months of 2008 with 2009, the Care Coordinators have already realized a 40% increase in new participants.

As a Board member, I have made a commitment to ensure the continued success of SeaCare.  To this end, on September 12th, I cycled 54 miles through the NH White Mountains including 26 miles up the Kancamagus Highway to the top of the Pass.  The ride was challenging - with cyclists navigating steep uphill climbs and curvy roadways – it is symbolic of what life can be like without health care.

The stress people are feeling in times like these can be overwhelming; however, in most cases, SeaCare participants can stay with their primary care provider and maintain their medical home. Additionally, they have access to specialty providers and free lab services.  Since 1994, SeaCare’s volunteer provider network has donated more than $15,000,000 in health care services and products to thousands of adults and children.  An amazing achievement in the 15 year history of SeaCare!

I hope you join me in supporting this important organization and the more than 2,000 people they serve each year.  As a Board member, I volunteer my time because the need for health care access continues to be great and I see first-hand how SeaCare is making a difference in our community.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution.  Or, if you'd rather send a check, please mail it to SeaCare Health Services, 11 Downing Court, Exeter, NH  03833 (please indicate the my name so the amount shows up on my donations thermometer). Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate to this worthy cause!

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Jim
