NYC-Half-2011
Back in the 1980's (is that really 3 decades ago) I worked for 6 months on the Street Outreach team for Covenant House New York. It was an eye-opening experience as I saw first hands the dangers for kids who are forced to live on the streets.
This Half-Marathon, I will be running for our outreach teams, so we can let the suffering kids of the street know that there are other options than gangs or prostitution. That there is hope for a better life and Covenant House is a great place to start. Any support you can give will go to our vans on the street, just click the green Donate button below.
This run will also be special as I am running with my brother Tom and cousin Barbara. I figured having two people drag me across the finish line would work best.
Many thanks for your support and please forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Peace
Jim
