My name is Jim Barron and I have been a NY State Trooper for 22 years.

On March 26, 2011 - my good friend, TROOPER KEVIN P. DOBSON,  was struck by a motor vehicle during a traffic stop and killed. Kevin's death serves as a personal and constant reminder of the dangers that law enforcement officers face on a daily basis.

On May 9, 2012, I will be riding in my first Police Unity Tour from Florham Park, New Jersey to Washington DC. The mission of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of Law Enforcement Officers killed in the line of duty and to raise money for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and Museum. My goal is to raise $2000.00 to that end. Any donation you could make, to help me reach that goal, would be deeply appreciated.

Doing this ride in Kevin's memory is truly my honor. He is missed every day by his family, friends and fellow Troopers.
