Riders for Heath - Fundraising page
Long Beach NY to Long Beach LA 'Motorcycle Adventure'
On a $200 M/Cycle called 'Connie'
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
The aim is simple, to raise money for 'Riders for Health' a charity who do a fantastic job of getting motorcycles into the most remote areas of Africa so that millions of people don't die from easily-preventable diseases because health workers do not have the reliable transport to reach them.
By ensuring health workers have access to vehicles that never break down 'Riders for Health' is making sure millions of people across Africa receive regular, reliable health care, often for the first time in their lives.
And the best part is they use Motorcycles to do it!! See, Motorcycles do SAVE LIFES!! - See for yourself: www.riders.org
Well if you are here then you probably know that I rode across America on a $200 motorcycle I bought in New York. Along the way the 1989 EX500 Kawasaki aquired the name 'Connie' and was signed by everyone who helped me in someway travel make the trip.
We covered 3,986.2miles, it took 12 days and I rode alone, slept in a tent and met some incredible people along the way.
Now, a new EX costs around £3,200 or $5,050, as a bit of fun I'd like to see if we can raise that amount or even beat it, 'Connie' will then become the most expensive EX in the world! and the funds will all go to a fantastic cause... :-)
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
To everyone who donates, 'Thank-you' so much and I'm in the process of planning my next adventure... keep you posted...
