I am the Founder and President of Divas For A Cure.
Why is this cause so important to me? It's very personal.

After struggling through a life threatening illness and battling back from cancer, cardiac arrest and a stroke - I decided that a routine lifestyle would never do. When life deals you a bad hand, keep smiling, call everyone's bluff and then raise the stakes!
Divas For A Cure was founded by me out of a very personal experience. Although breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in California, the chance of survival when diagnosed early like myself is as high as 95%.
Divas For A Cure is a Passion with a Purpose!
Riding has become more than just a past-time. It has become a vehicle to help us spread the word, and enlighten other people, especially women about this disease which does not discriminate. It has no respect of age, sex, race or orgin.
Summer 2006, Divas For A Cure will take to the road, traveling from the San Francisco Bay Area to Florida, to New York and back, raising funds and awareness to aid in the fight to find a cure for Breast Cancer. Thousands of women annually are diagnosed with breast cancer, in California alone; more than 21,000 women will hear the words "you have breast cancer." An estimated 4,000 will die.
