At the end of 2009, 5,700 people in Kansas City were coping with the everyday struggles of HIV/AIDS - up from 4,999 two years ago. That's almost 30 new cases a month. Close to 7 a week. Nearly 1 a day. It's time to take the steps to roll back the suffering.
This year we walk not only in Kansas City, but across the Country and around the Globe to continue the fight against HIV/AIDS. We walk for family. We walk for friends. We walk for those we've lost. We walk for those we've not yet met. We walk to raise awareness and to help those that struggle.
