Meet Grace.  2008 didn't start out on a positive note for Grace.  In January, she was dumped on a rural road in Illinois - the day before a big snowstorm.  A kind stranger picked up Grace and her blind basset buddy Mercy - saving their lives.  Guardian Angel Basset Rescue stepped in to help this basset duo.  As a foster home, our job is to find the perfect home for each of our fosters.  I found the perfect home for Grace - mine.  If not for the stranger and GABR, Grace wouldn't be part of my family today. 

On September 20th, Lady, Grace and I are walking in the 2008 Illinois Waddle. This event is held every year in Dwight, Illinois as a benefit for the Guardian Angel Basset Rescue, Inc. Each year, GABR rescues and places over 250 Basset Hounds in the Indiana, Illinois and St. Louis area. As you can imagine, their vet bills are very large, averaging over $10,000 per month. We've decided to help them raise money to pay those bills. It's Grace's way of giving back to those who helped her.
