I first heard about HD when my sister-in-law's father was diagnosed with it a few years back. A couple of years ago, a person moved in to the assisted living community where I work who also has HD. A person came in from the HDSA to speak to employees and he compared the disease to a combination of Alzheimers & Parkinsons. It is one of the most awful diseases a person can have. It's a hereditary disease, meaning, many of you reading this are probably not at risk, but that doesn't mean it doesn't effect you. Because it is hereditary, I think that many people have not heard of HD. Now that you have visited my page, you have heard of HD and you can help raise awareness with me.
