Come this September, I will be traveling to Africa for 2 months to volunteer with Coaches Across Continents, an international development program that uses soccer as a medium to foster social change in disadvantaged communities. CAC emphasizes health and development initiatives, such as HIV prevention, female empowerment, and conflict resolution. CAC is unique, it uses the universal language and culturally ingrained game of soccer as a teaching tool. In my two month spell I will work with kids, teachers, and leaders within the communities to promote positive, sustainable change. I will first be traveling to Zambia for a month followed by two weeks in both Ghana and then Liberia. I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those that truly need it. I know that with the guidance of CAC, I will be able to have a lasting impact in the various communities that I visit. However, to accomplish all of this, I need your help!

Coaches across Continents is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, relying solely on donations to expand and run its current programs. To help cover the costs of my trip as well as to sustain the programs I'll be working for in Africa, I need to raise $6,600. With such a large goal, every little bit really does help!
