On January 16th, 2002 during a routine doctor's appointment, we learned that our third child, Morgan, no longer had a heartbeat.  We were devastated beyond belief and very alone as we worked through our grief while stationed in Japan.  Since this loss, we have experienced the pain of numerous pregnancy losses.  After moving to the Tacoma area in 2005, we discovered the TEARS Foundation and have been wanting to participate in their annual Rock & Walk.  Ten years later, we have decided it's time to give a voice, and recognition, to Morgan and all the babies who have been taken far too soon.

I ask that you support not only our family this year, but also all the families out there who will need additional assistance in the future.  We realize that money can be tight right now, but imagine for one moment the pain and anguish a mother, couple, or family will face while trying to figure out how to finance a proper memorial and burial for the baby they just lost.  This is where the TEARS Foundation comes into play.  They provide the financial assistance and support to families.  In addition, they provide ongoing emotional support support through support groups, online support, and beareavement resources.

As TEARS mentions on their website, $10 will purchase 6 Moses-like baskets for families who wish to see their baby in that versus a casket.  Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.  If you are unable to donate online, we also accept cash and check donations.  If you are donating in honor of another child, please include it into the comments.  We would love to see all the other babies who are being honored with your donation.
