IT'S ALL FOR THE ANIMALS !!! I am committed again this year to dive into the frigid Atlantic ocean to raise money for homeless shelter animals in the NHSPCA's second annual Doggie Paddle Plunge. Once again, I will "freeze my tail off" to show how much I care about the well-being of these animals.
When I did it last year, the air temperature was 24 degrees and the water temperature was a frigid 22 degrees !! I was the only "guy" who did it and I was the only one who DOVE IN HEAD FIRST AND WENT UNDERWATER !! It was well worth it for such an important cause.
This past year, Jenn and I adopted our first rescue/shelter dog Buca ! After the tornado's in Alabama, when rescue workers were searching for survivors, Buca and 6 of his siblings were found in a box on the side of the road. It was funding from events like the Doggie Paddle Plunge that made it possible for Buca and his siblings to be transported up here for a chance to be adopted and find a forever home. He is such a big part of our family now and we are blessed to have him.
This year the plunge is on St Patrick's Day and TRUST ME, my "outfit" will not disappoint ! Anyone who would like to come and cheer me on, is more than welcome.
Please sponsor me ! A donation of any amout makes a difference in the lives of these animals, even a $1.00 donation can buy food for one cat for one day !!
Here is an example of where your money is put to such good:
•$25 provides vaccinations for one animal
•$50 provides one medical exam
•$100 provides one spay/neuter surgery
•$175 feeds all the NHSPCA dogs for one week
•$350 feeds all the NHSPCA cats for one week
•$500 provides food and shelter for a horse for one month
•A donation of any size shows you care when it seems like no one else does !
