Hello Friends,

As most of you know how involved I have been working with the dogs at the RBARI  (Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge) shelter  for the past couple of years.

Today I am pleased to announce that RBARI is having their 4th annual Mutts Marathon fund raising event (visit www.muttsmarathon.com for details)on Oct 11/2008 (Saturday) and I am hoping you will support me and the cause by sponsoring me in the dog walk.

RBARI is one of the few "NO KILL"  and "NON PROFIT" shelters in this area and the only one in Bergen County.  They rescue dogs/cats from other KILL shelter across US. RBARI relies entirely on the donations as this shelter does not receive any funding from the government.

Funds raised by this event will help feed, provide shelter & medical attention as long as these dogs/cats will live in RBARI and will help us rescue dogs such as Gretchen (see image on left) who was rescued two days before she was scheduled to be euthanized in another KILL shelter.

Gretchen was rescued around 6 months ago and had major dog, food & toy aggression. After spending some time training her, she is now one of the smartest and sweetest dog ever with only a little dog aggression left and knows over 20 commands/tricks.

You dont have to donate a lot, every little bit counts and will make a difference in their life. All donations made are fully tax deductible as allowe by the law.
