As a first time marathoner I am blessed to be part of a fantastic team with a common goal.  We have shared blood, sweat and tears over the last 6 months in our training and have grown in many ways through this experience.  One common bond is our desire to work with a trusted organization as our team sponsor to make a positive impact for under resourced people in Africa.  World Vision works to tackle the root causes of poverty by working with children, families, and their communities to provide things like clean water, health care, nutritious food, education, and economic opportunities.
