Jay Farwell's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! In two weeks my brother, a friend, and I will head to the Berkshires to participate in the 2009 Massachusetts Audubon Bird-a-thon. This will be our twelveth Bird-a-thon. This event always marks a rite of spring for me. The opportunity to be outside for 24 straight hours hearing the many beautiful bird songs is an annual highlight.
I have been a volunteer at the Blue Hills Trailside Museum for fifteen years. The money I raise through the Bird-a-thon is devoted solely to the museum's Snowy Owl Telemetry Research Project run by the director. The cost of one transmitter and the annual satellite tracking fees is $6,000. I deeply grateful for any support you can offer. As a thank you, please call on me any time to head out on a bird walk.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! To make a pledge per species, please visit: www.massaudubon.org/birdathon
With deep appreciation,
Jay Farwell
