I was inspired to do this race and fundraiser in the summer of 2006 when Stephane and I met Peter and Jeff in Kaneohe, HI.  Peter and Jeff where the owners of "Keeli Quinn" and had just competed in the Pacific Cup, raising funds for a non-profit organization.

Soon after, Stephane and I bought "Keeli Quinn" and renamed her "Le Flying Fish," with the intention of following in their footsteps.

Peter and Jeff's footsteps lead me to create my own path and co-founded Sailors on a Mission an all-volunteer non-profit foundation committed to improving the health care of children by raising funds and awareness through sailing adventures.

The adventure will be to race in the 2008 Pacific Cup, while raising funds and awareness for the Children's Hospital & Research Center Foundation
