We are once again getting ready for the Great American Bike Race!! This year, Tanner gets to help represent the race by being a GABR Star! We are so proud of him.

Tanner continues to make progress. This year he has been learning to propel the wheels of his wheelchair forward by himself, and is still using a walk-about for practicing stepping at school. He is also working with switches and a computer to enhance his communication and has even been using an IPAD at school and home.

In past years we have been blessed by the donations made to the Great American Bike Race. Tanner was able to get a bed, and it gives us peace of mind that he is sleeping somewhere that is safe. Needing special equipment comes with a price tag and not much special equipment is covered by insurance. Last year, this annual event raised $220,000 and helped families in our community that have children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. Funds raised by GABR helped families pay for therapy, medical services, orthotics, adaptive equipment, wheelchairs, and home/vehicle modifications.

Race day is Saturday April 28th from 9-3:15pm at Century High School in Bismarck. Feel free to join us to cheer the riders on!!!

This is a voluntary fundraiser and we really appreciate EVERYTHING!!!!  Mostly, if you want to just say a prayer that Tanner will continue to make progress that would mean the most of all.
