The Run to the River is the largest anual fundraiser for the Neighborhood Resourse Center in the Fulton Hill community on Richmond's Eastside.  The NRC is a non-profit organization in the morning runs a daycare, a computer lab, and helps with job placement.  In the afternoon they have an after school program that provides the children with help with their homework and extra tutoring.  They also have numerous other activities that rang from cooking to dance and music classes.  In the evening they have GED prep courses for members of the community that didn't graduate from high school.

This is my second year doing The Run to the River.  Last year I raised 875 dollars and this year I'm trying to raise more.
