Dear Family and Friends,
Well here we go again! First off, I wanted to start this message with a huge THANK YOU! So many of you have supported me in this cause year after year and your generosity, commitment and support has been so inspiring.
Unfortunately, the fight to cure autism and help those diagnosed with this neurological disorder still continues. Again, this year I will run in the Boston Marathon in honor of my nephew, Genaro Gamberdella, to raise funds and more importantly raise awareness for this condition.
Genaro and his family relocated back to Santa Barbara, California last year and are adjusting back to their old home fabulously. Genaro is doing really well and enjoying life back in Santa Barbara near his grandparents, cousins and other family members. He has a tremendous support system with so many people that love and care for him nearby.
Not all kids with autism are lucky enough to have the benefit of the support system that G has and this is why I will be raising money for the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Flutie Foundation raises money to support families with kids with autism that may not be able to afford all the many things needed to care for this type of child. They also provide many other essential community initiatives and if you read to the left of this message you can learn more about what the Flutie Foundation does.
Making a donation is as simple as clicking the “Sponsor Me Now” button on this page if you would like to pay with a credit card. If you would like to pay with a check you are welcome to mail me one payable to the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism and send it to me at 12 Ticknor Street, #1, Boston, MA, 02127. I am trying to collect all donations no later then APRIL 20, 2009 (Race Day).
Also, for those of you that are local I will be having my yearly fundraiser sometime in late April or early May if you would prefer to make your donation at that time.
Please feel free to forward this website along to ANYONE you think might be interested in donating. If you have any questions or comments you can email me at jennyg46@hotmail.com or call me at 617-921-4208.
Once again, and I just cannot say it enough times, thank you so much for taking the time to read this website, raising your awareness about autism and considering making a donation. No matter how small the donation is it all goes to a great cause and makes a difference.
Warmest Regards,
Jenn
