PAWS WALK 2009
The Cause
This walk raises money for the NH SPCA who has seen a rise in homeless and neglected pets due to our country’s economic time. Those who work there say it best “Don’t feel bad for the animals who are here, feel bad for the animals that have yet to arrive.” Let us work together this year to make sure that animals in need who find their way there are not left behind.
THE WALK
This is a fun walk, so no pressure to finish and they even let you choose either a 1.5 or 2 mile walk. There is plenty of H20 along the way for your K-9’s so just bring some waste bags and you’re well on your way.
There is also live music before the walk and a vendor area, so if you like come early. Last year being our first year, we didn’t make a whole day of it but if that’s something the team is interested in we can look into having a BBQ. Send inquiries to Jennifer@adoggonegoodlife.com.
PRIZES
There are going to be amazing prizes and this year so we will put the team names in a hat and have a drawing if we win.
OUR TEAM
Last year the Doggone Crazy team really enjoyed our walk and best of all we raised about $1500.00.
This year it’s really important that we come together in raising money for such a wonderful cause. With all the foreclosures, loss of jobs and other economic stresses there are a lot of animals who have lost their families or have been neglected. Although most of us could never imagine giving up our pets, so have some of those who have had to make that hard decision. Many shelters like NH SPCA hold pets for those distraught families in hopes of reunions or adoption. I know if we could we would take all these homeless pets and bring them home with us but it’s not possible so what can we do?
The Doggone Crazy Team theme this year is inspired by Jack Johnson’s 3 r’s song. Jack Johnson wrote this song to educate children and adults on how simple it is to be kind to our earth. This song teaches us that the number three is so simple yet powerful and we agree. If everyone gets three people to donate a small amount, those three people do the same and so on, we can make a HUGE difference with little impact to person wallets.
With all the stress we face as individuals, families, communities and as a nation take some time even if you cannot donate and walk with us. If you don’t have a dog that’s ok come walk anyway or do what Ally did last year and bring someone else’s dog – they will love you for it!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
