Support HD Research!!
Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to find out more about a cause which is near and dear to my heart. I have met many persons afflicted with/affected by HD, and have found them to be struggling with some of the most basic day to day functions that we all take for granted. Despite the challenges they face each day they manage to stay positive and have a bright outlook on the future. Their genuine happiness and commitment to stay focused on finding a cure truly inspires me to take this cause to the next level. Someone of you may have already heard about this 'Huntington's Disease' cause, now's your chance to really make an impact.
You may ask, just what exactly is HD? Just to fill you in... HD is an inherited, progressively degenerative brain disorder that results in a loss of both mental faculties and physical control.
Presently, there is not a cure for HD. Presently, the only way anyone can make a positive effort in finding a cure is by supporting HD Research. HD Researchers have been making so many amazing discoveries that we really feel this could truly be the last generation of HD. This is why it's crucial to act now, make a difference today, through giving to support HD research.
This year we have a goal of reaching $150,000 towards finding a cure for HD. Please take part in our annual Walk for the Cure on October 20, 2007 at UCI. To start making a difference now you can help us reach our fundraising goal by giving to this cause. Please take a step of faith today and donate to this great cause.
Forever grateful,
Jennifer Lockney
