Jennifer Manning's Fundraising Page
Dear friends and family,
Five months ago, I started training with Team M4M (miles for melanoma) for my 2nd marathon in memory of my dad, Ed Daymude.
November 25th will be 9 years since my dad lost his battle with Stage IV melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer. In his memory, this Sunday, I will be running the Marine Corps Marathon!
Growing up, my dad was invincible to me. He was a black belt in karate, a Green Beret, he kayaked the Grand Canyon and he ran the Marine Corps Marathon 10 times! He was a courageous fighter and his battle with melanoma taught me how to be courageous, brave and strong.
I am a survivor and I wanted the chance to train and run the same race my dad ran, raise money in his memory and set an example for my children the way he did for me.
I committed to my team to raise 3,000 toward our 100K team goal to fund a research Fellowship for one year and with the race just a few days away, I am about 1,900.00 below my goal. Will you please contribute to my team and support our great cause? I would greatly appreciate it!
Sincerely,
Jen
