Dear family and friends,
I'm participating in the Seattle CARRY Walk for Water on May 6. I'll be carrying water for 5 kilometers in support of people who don't have clean water at their homes like we do. In other countries, girls like me have to collect water every day from rivers, streams, and ponds. They carry it home for up to 5 kilometers. A 5-gallon container of water weighs 40 pounds! This means they can't go to school and learn to read and write. The water they drink and bathe in makes them sick.
I am raising money for Water 1st (where my Mom and Dad work) and water projects in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, India, and Honduras. I want other children like me to have clean water at their homes so they can go to school and be healthy.
Would you support me by making a donation to Water 1st?
How to donate: You can donate online (click on the Donate button below) or send a check payable to 'Water 1st Internaional' 1904 3rd Avenue, Suite 1012, Seattle, WA 98101 - on the memo line write 'Rachel Anderson.'
Thank you very much for helping people get clean water!!
Love,
Rachel (and Jen & Kirk)
