Thank you for visiting the 8 State Kate FirstGiving fundraising page for the 27th Annual Woofer and Hoofer Walk to benefit the Minnesota Valley Humane Society (MVHS). Last year I exceeded my fundraising goal of $500 and was able to raise $555 for the MVHS. This year, I'm getting a late start and hope to match or exceed the amount raised last year. I'm looking for 111 people to each donate $5 by June 2nd. Of course, if you would like to contribute more, please do!

Every year, I declare June 2nd "Kindness for Kate" Day, in memory of 8 State Hurricane Kate. On June 2nd, I ask everyone to do something kind for someone else, and to make it something that they would not ordinarily do, that stretches them a bit (look for more info, coming soon at www.8StateKate.net/wordpress). Please consider donating $5 to the MVHS, or performing another act of kindness on June 2nd.

I believe in the work of the Minnesota Valley Humane Society. They find homes for over 3,000 homeless animals per year and have even helped us with rescued cattle dogs in need of good homes.
