THE TROOPS ARE TAKING THE PLUNGE
Welcome and thank you for visiting this fundraising webpage in support of our troops.
The Airway Heights Police Department is pleased to announce the first ever Armed Forces Polar Plunge to be held in Iraq. In February deployed service members will have the opportunity to experience heartwarming and bone chilling extremes in a country known for its very harsh climate with a marked contrast between the extremely hot, sunny and dry days with rain, frost, and occasional snow in the evenings.
The Polar Plunge is a very unique event organized by law enforcement agencies throughout Washington State for the purpose of raising funds and awareness for local Special Olympic programs. Many of the members currently serving in Iraq are members of our law enforcement community.
Special Olympics Washington is an organization that provides year round sport training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The organization relies on the generous contributions of individuals, businesses, and foundations to support their programs, which are provided at no cost to the athletes or their families. There are over 1,200 athletes just in the greater Spokane area that need our help!
Please consider supporting our troops by sponsoring them in this event by making a fully tax deductible donation to their campaign. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support their fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support!
