Special Olympics has touched the lives of many with whom I work.  I have seen it transform children who struggle to find a place where they belong, into individuals who take pride in accomplishment and who become a valued member of a team.  What Special Olympics does for athletes and their families cannot be over-stated nor can a value be placed upon it. 

Thank you for visiting my Polar Plunge fundraising page. They say anyone with a little guts and a warm heart can take the Plunge and I am one of those folks. I’m collecting donations from family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who wants to support the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 4,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 of Special Olympics Illinois! Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in year-round sports training and competition.

To reward your generosity, I’m going to join more than 5,150 people statewide who will voluntarily jump into freezing cold water in the middle of winter as we take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunges for Special Olympics Illinois.
