Running out Epilepsy
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I started running in 2003 for charity to help beat blood cancers. A few years later I was battling my own war both on and off the roads. This time - it was a war with my brain. In my time of need I found some of the most amazing people around - the people at EFA.
I realized, through them, that I am lucky to be able to continue running, working, living a pretty darn normal life. Some people with epilepsy can never lead normal life - work, sports, enjoying activities the rest of us take for granted.
It is my mission to give back to the foudnation that truly helped me out when I needed it most. The information available to me on their sight was priceless. The support on the forums was amazing. I do not think I could have gotten through that time without them.
Now I am almost 1.5 years siezure free!
My goal is to raise as much as I can for the EFA by my 30th Birthday. I am doing this by running in halfmarathons (13.1 miles) in 25 states. With each run I do - I do it for the EFA. This is a wonderful cause for wonderful people!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
