Thank you SO MUCH for visiting my fundraising page!
I am so excited, on November 20, 2010 I powerwalked the Galveston 1/2 marathon and on January 30, 2011 I powerwalked the Houston Half Marathon with my mom (who does not like to exercise) and my wonderful daughter who just started Jr. High...together, our goal is to make a difference for children in need. I couldn't be more excited about having our 3 generations come together for these events.
I am only able to take on this goal because of one simple thing. I have an amazing Reason2Race, to have my team raise $100,000 for Cherish Our Children International. [Watch the COCI Video here ]
Team COCI (www.teamcoci.org) has already raised $60k this season, and our goal is to reach 100k for these kids!
I know with your support we will make a difference with many children, like Devon from Houston. Through participation in our No More Victim's program, he has beaten the odds and graduated from high school and college instead of ending up in prison like his parents. I know I can help children like Ido and Mohammed from Israel who despite years of conflict amongst their communities they have become the best of friends through our Bridge to Peace program and now look forward to their weekly educational sessions and soccer games.
