Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!  In previous years, I've written my family story of HD here.  Although it is difficult to share, I feel it has always been vital part in asking friends and family for donations.  Imagine a disease that not only takes the life of your mother but has the devastating ability to take away your sisters, nieces, nephews and children as well!  While everyday I continue to pray for treatment or a cure, there is still no medication or treatments that slow the progression of this disease.  My mother died on my birthday, December 7, 2009 after putting up a courageous battle.  This year, I walk in honor of her bravery and courage.
