So like a lot of my running friends running the Boston Marathon is a big deal! On Sunday March 11th a friend came up to me while I was preparing for a 5 mile road race asking if I wanted a number for the Boston Marathon. Well without thinking, of course I said "YES". Then a few minutes later it dawned on me that the marathon is just a little over a month away....after a little pondering and throwing it out on FB I made it offical :)

As many of you know, I have run 3 marathons to date. The first, in 2009, was the Boston Marathon (unofficially). In 2010, Jen Rifenberg and I headed down to Washington D.C. for the Marine Corp marathon.  Finally, in 2011 I was bummed about not doing Boston so I signed up for the Vermont City Marathon (which was a bad idea to run at the end of May). My training will be slightly on the short side but many of my friends have told me its possible.  I dont expect a PR but I will finish! 

Now besides all the training runs I need to do I also need to ask for donations!! I will be running for Great Kids through Goodwill.  This program gives underpriviledged kids the opportunity to participate in various extracurricular activities to allow them to excel!  I am asking for donations large or small...all will help me get to my goal of $3500.
