I was introduced to the Andrea Rizzo Foundation last year through one of our marrow transplant patient families. I went to set up a table at the Walk for the Children to register new marrow donors. When I met Susan, Andrea's mother, and all the wonderful volunteers and learned more about the foundation I knew this was something I really wanted to be a part of. I've always loved dance (I was a dancer as a child and a cheerleader in high school) and I see just how much dance therapy helps children such as the marrow transplant patients I work with.
I hope you'll all consider making a donation to help this wonderful foundation continue it's important work!
The Andréa Rizzo Foundation was established in memory of Andréa Rizzo, a beautiful young woman who survived childhood cancer and was tragically killed at the age of 24 by a drunk driver. Her dream was to become a dance therapist and give children with cancer and disabilities the gift of dance. With the support of many, her dream has become a reality. The foundation supports dance therapy at hospitals and public schools around the country. Please visit www.DreasDream.org for more info.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
