Jenny Pressman's Fundraising Page
Dear Friends and Family,
Many of you know that I serve on the board for the Gay Straight Alliance for Safe Schools in Madison (GSAFE). GSAFE is hosting its second Walk-Run-Eat fundraiser on October 11th and our family is once again asking for your support. We've set an ambitious fundraising goal of $1,500.
Thanks partly to organizations like GSAFE, schools today offer a safer environment for LGBT students than they did even a few years ago. But LGBT students--and students who are simply perceived as gay--are still being harassed, intimidated, bullied or worse in our schools.
My greatest hope for change lies in young people like Emily and Josh. I believe that it's the students of today who will make things right in the world for LGBT people and their families tomorrow. GSAFE is helping to carry this movement forward.
We hope you'll consider making a pledge to support our family's effort to raise money for this important and very personal cause.
