Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
I have a lot of hair. Strictly speaking, more than I need. I could just chop it off and give it to someone who needs it more, but why stop there?
Let's face it; we all have more than we need. So, let's make an event of the great chopping of the locks and help out some folks who are going through tough times right now. People who would really like to have a bit of hair up there, to be able to walk down the street and not get a second glance.
Locks of Love gives people a lift when they need it most. All that hair in the picture? Soon that's going to be on someone else's head. That's a given.
But great hairpieces don't just make themselves, even when such obviously awesome hair as this is involved. They take time and money. That's where you come in.
I'm setting out to raise $2500 to accompany my hair as a donation to Locks of Love. When the goal is reached, the hair comes off. So, the sooner you pitch in, the sooner you'll see the back of my neck, and the sooner someone out there will find a ray of sunshine in dark times.
Please donate to this worthy cause. Maybe just a token amount as a way of high-fiving this fund raiser -- every little bit helps. Maybe something more substantial if you can afford it. $100 would be awesome. You know what would be more awesome? $500. For that, if logistically feasible, I'll let you wield the axe (or maybe scissors) that cuts it all off! Whee!
Please don't do what I always do and put off donating 'til later. There is a time for action, and that time is now!
Locks of Love is a 501(c)3 organization and all financial contributions are tax-deductible.
