Fundraising for the Children of Columbia
In memory of: Nicholas Luke Whalen Secor

Fundraising for the Children of Columbia

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you so much for your love and support.  Nick, born in Bogota, Columbia, was an intelligent, artistically passionate young man.  He was recently attending the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts where he was taking a class in sculpting marble.  He loved playing the guitar and composed and recorded music with his friends.  Nick was a caring son and brother who showed his love for his family in many ways, such as sharing his artwork, his wonderful sense of humor, his love of music and reading, and just being himself.

Nick always felt a strong attachment to his Columbian heritage.  It seems fitting that his memory lives on by supporting those less fortunate in his home country.

SOS Children's Villages is an international charity dedicated to helping children and families in third world countries.  They have several projects in Columbia that work for children who are orphaned, abandoned or whose families are unable to care for them.  For some Columbian villages, SOS Children's Villages share in the development and strengthening of communities.  For more information, please check out the following website: www.sos-usa.org.

Love,

Jeremy, Amanda, Denny and Bill
