In this world, I feel that I've been blessed with all the basics of life.  Yet many still lack basic shelter and a decent roof over their heads.  I want your help to change that!

Over 7 years ago, I became the direct recipient of the generosity and compassion of good Christian people.  My wife and I were newlyweds looking to raise a family in expensive New Jersey.  As a young minister, the charitable congregation of First Baptist in Westfield gave me a no-interest loan to use as downpayment to purchase my first home - a huge hand-up to us because we obviously had no money.  Now, we are proud homeowners and subsequently repaid that generous loan.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Plainfield is exactly that! ... a hand-UP, not a hand-OUT, to low income families in need.

Now more than ever... I'm asking you to give a gift to provide a hand-UP to another family.  Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support Habitat for Humanity.  I'm aiming to get 250 of my friends to give just $5 a month.
