Mark was an amazing husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.  His greatest wish was that the word about melanoma get out, to educate everyone that a mole is not just a mole.  He was treated by the best of the best at UCI Medical Center in Irvine, CA, but unfortunately, he lost his bravely fought battle on August 8, 2007.  We miss you so. In your memory we are RACING FOR THE CURE.  Jim and Terri Cass and Team Cass Racing have dedicated this race season to Mark and our fund raising efforts for a cure.  Car # 50 in the super late division will run each race at Irwindale Raceway in your memory.  It was one of Mark's greatest joys, being in the pit every Fri and Saturday during race season. Our First Racing for the Cure event was a HUGE success.  We had about 180 participants and raised over $20,000.  We had a great day, many referred to it as "just like a family picnic".  The mobile screening unit did 65 screenings.  We will post pictures on our website www.racing4thecure.com.  We have made a challenge to everyone.  On Mark's birthday June 21, we are going to donate to this website, what we would have spent on his birthday gifts.  We are also going to do it on our own birthdays.  We challenge each of you to do the same.  We thank everyone for their hard work, the donations and the never ending support you have shown us, and continue to show.  We love you all
