Thank you for visiting Jerilyn and Zoe's fundraising page.
This mutt march is really important to me and Zoe. I think most of you know already how much I love dogs. I begged my parents for 5 years before they caved and got me Lady (the best golden retriever ever). Lady has since passed and almost two years went by until Justin and i went to the Treasure Coast Humane Society (TCHS) to just look at dogs, on July 5, 2008. I almost left, as there were lots of dogs there but none that i was looking for. Justin said "Jer we missed two cages" and just about had to pull me to look at the last two. In the very last cage sat a yellowish white 3 month old puppy, with eye liner eyes, and big floppy ears. It was love at first sight. I believe that in the first few minutes I had her named, Zoe.
Just to even see Zoe, i had to be approved by the TCHS. I put a hold on her, and by the time I made it to the car, I had my mind made up. And just 5 hours later, Justin and I left with little Zoe. She cried the whole way home.
Zoe is one of the best puppies I have ever seen. She came to me already Spaid, microchipped, and with her first set of shots, and not to mention all sorts of free stuff. It was a great deal for only $85.00. I also learned through the adoption process that Zoe had orginially been born in Puerto Rico. There are many Lab muts ( also known as potcakes in the islands), that need warm and loving homes. So this fundraiser is very important. It is a chance to give other dogs, puppy, cats, rabbits good homes like Zoe. Its a chance to give back, because its only been 2.5 months since i've had Zoe and I can't imagine life without her.
Zoe is now just over 5 months Old (as of Sept. 5), and weighs about 20-23lbs. Zoe is really smart, she knows, Sit, Stay, Down, No Touch, Easy, Roll (as in roll over), Paw (and you can pick which paw you want), Come, Out, Off, In, Get a Toy, and many more commands. I believe she is a Beagle/ Lab mix, beagledor. She has short hair like a beagle, and points, but has the bark and the coloring of a yellow lab. I like to call her my "tea-cup yellow Lab".
Thank you for visiting my page, and if you have a few extra dollars to donate, any would be great. Donating through this website is simple, fast, and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforst. And thank you from Zoe, Myself, and the future animals just waiting to be adopted into loving homes.
