This year Bucks for Mutts is again participation in Rescue Run and wants to spread the word about an amazing animal that is a horse! Domestication of the horse most likely took place in central Asia prior to 3500 BC. Worldwide, horses play a role within human cultures and have done so for millennia. Horses are used for leisure activities, sports, and working purposes. They serve us and they should not be abused and mistreated or even inhumanely slaughtered. The two horses on the right (Danny and Little Ben) are now safe in the care of Ohio SPCA Farm Sanctuary, but they have been neglected and are severely emaciated. Little Ben is still at risk since he is all skin and bones (literally).

This year I will be doing the walk on exactly 1 year anniversary of Annibale's passing. He was a stray and had a great 17 years with me. He is greatly missed. Annibale, not a day goes by that I don't think about you!!! <3

I will walk in honor and in memory of all the abused and neglected animals that are too many to count :(
