Join our fuzzy friends for a morning filled with lots of paws and tails! Enjoy scenic Bayfront Park in downtown Miami along with activities, demonstrations and entertainment all to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet. It’s all for the 2,500 animals that make their temporary home at the Humane Society of Greater Miami each year.
Walk for the Animals, presented by Pet Supermarket, is a great day for the entire family! The Walk is the only fundraising walk-a-thon for dogs and their owners in Miami-Dade County.
This year’s Grand Marshall is Commissioner Sally A. Heyman, District 4, Miami-Dade County and University of Miami Associate Vice President & Controller Theresa L. Ashman is “Leader of the Pack.” NBC6 meteorologist, Ryan Phillips, will emcee the event.
Check-in is at 8:30 am, entertainment from 9:00 am ‘til noon. The one-mile stroll around the park (with or without a dog) begins at 10 am. For more information and sponsorship opportunities, visit www.humanesocietymiami.org, or to register, go to www.firstgiving.com/hsgm.
“Every dollar raised from the Walk goes toward sheltering more than 250 homeless cats and dogs in our care every day. In addition, the funds help support our spay/neuter services, quality adoptions, humane education and pet therapy,” said Donna Tallon, Executive Director.
The Humane Society of Greater Miami Adopt-A-Pet is dedicated to placing every dog and cat in our care into a loving home, and to promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs.
Thank you for your generous support and commitment!
