PWSA-MI Annual Awareness Walk
Thank you for visiting the first giving page for PWSA-MI's annual Awareness Walk.
Prader-Willi Syndrome is a non-hereditary genetic malformation that affects approximately 1 in 12-15,000 individuals. The condition is not race or sex based, and is prevalent in people of all races, and sexes. To date, PWS is one of the leading causes of morbid childhood obesity.
In May, PWSA-MI celebrates National PWS Awareness Month by hosting a walk to raise funds and awareness.
All donations collected through this site will directly benefit families affected by this condition. Additionally, and donation of $2 or greater will recieve a neon paper foot, which may bear a sentiment of your choosing, and will be posted along the path the walkers will be taking on Saturday May 15th.
We want to thank you so much for your interest in our cause, and your time and generosity.
