Many thanks for checking in on the latest development in my life! I'm excited to share with you that I will be participating in a Reproductive Health program in Quito, Ecuador this coming fall. The program is hosted through Child Family Health International (see organization's mission in "About my nonprofit"). This is a service-learning program that gives students firsthand experience working alongside MDs who provide quality reproductive health care for underserved communities.

Immersion will happen for me on many levels: I will sharpen my Spanish language abilities through classes and conversation with host family & medical staff, expand my knowledge of Ecuador's current Reproductive Health Laws and broaden my understanding of the cultural attitudes towards women’s access to Reproductive healthcare.

Any costs associated with this program are redirected back into every component of the CFHI structure, both domestic and global. Program fees are applied toward continued employment of medical staff, host families and site coordinators. Payments also cover the costs of medical supplies, facilities, and headquarter’s orchestration of connecting students with these unique programs. This not-for-profit is survived by gifts from donors like you and me. By contributing to my page, you are supporting CFHI’s foundation and my ability to attend this program.
