HIV positive people and homeless animals.  These are two of my favorite causes.  Probably because everybody thinks they are somebody else's problem.  The reality is, that we are all each other's "problem," and we are all each other's hope. 

I have volunteered for this cause since I was in high school, a really, really long time ago.  Today, I am honored to be the president of the board at the AIDS Task Force in Fort Wayne, and I am serving on the committee for "Vive le Rouge! Long Live Red," the agency's largest annual fundraiser.

It has always been easier for me to give money than to ask for it from my friends, but if you find yourself so inclined to support this cause, I would appreciate it and so would the many friends I have made, many of whom we've lost, along the way.
