Jessica Martinson's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest recently wrapped up an incredible year. On June 13, 2008, seven chimpanzees arrived from a biomedical research facility in Pennsylvania. I remember meeting them for the first time on June 15th--I was struck by their vacant gazes and trepidation.
Over the last year, through tireless rehabilitation efforts, the Cle Elum Seven have come into their own. They're flourishing in their new environment. Now their days are filled with fresh veggies, exercise, companionship, the choice of how to spend their time, sunshine, fresh air, and most importantly: dignity.
I am very proud to be a part of this organization as the board president and a sanctuary volunteer. We are a bare-bones, start-up non-profit, so every little donation helps immensely. The community support for this project has been incredible. The organization is operating off of lots of 'small' contributions from individual donors. It's easy for you to make a big difference in the lives of these amazing beings by donating what you can.
One of my responsibilities as a Board Member is to raise $500/year. Help me meet my goal! :) Don't forget--many companies offer corporate matches for your donations (it's an easy process that CSNW is happy to assist with).
Be sure to check out CSNW's blog at: www.chimpsanctuarynw.org/blog for uplifting photos/videos/stories of the Cle Elum Seven.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
Thanks:)
Jessica
