Housed at Suffield Academy located in a beautiful region of forests and farmland sprinkled along the Connecticut River, YPI is a co-educational, residential summer camp for the arts.
YPI offers one- to two- week workshops for young people grades 6-12 who have an interest or ability in the creative arts.
Workshops include photography, dance, short story, song writing, video production, musical theater, acting, and studio art.
In order to succeed, YPI relies on the generosity of our friends and family to give campers the best experience they can have summer after summer. With the support of our sponsors, we are able to provide our students with trained professionals, top-of-the-line equipment, and a safe, beautiful environment that encourages creativity.

In the summer of 2010, YPI celebrated its 30th anniversary. In order to commemorate its success, YPI continued the tradition of building communities with an afternoon of music, food, cocktails, and fun at the Christ Church in Greenwich, Connecticut. 'We Jazz for YPI' was held on February 27th, 2010. It served as a time for us to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and develop the livelihood of YPI. We loved seeing everyone at the event and we are so thankful for all of your contributions.
In 2011, we are hoping to put on another successful event sometime in April in New Haven, CT. More details about this event are coming soon!
