Our son Nathan was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy when he was 5 years old. We were completely devastated to learn that there was no cure, and that DMD research was deeply underfunded. After the shock of all this set in, we were grateful to find Cure Duchenne, who shares our sense of urgency for a cure for our boys.  

Nathan keeps very busy with Physical Therapy several times a week, and he takes daily meds to help slow down the muscle degeneration process.  With all the recent progress in the medical science community, we continue to be hopeful for a breakthrough treatment to save our boys from this terribly serious disorder.
