Special Olympics New York Inc

High Trek Adventure Race

Jessica Soskil's Fundraising Page

Thank you for visiting Jess and Karl's fund raising page for the New York Special Olympics!  We are also apart of Team Adventure Boot Camp.  As a team we are rasing money for the New York Special Olympics.

Help us help the New York Special Olympics, a nonprofit organization that ensures ALL athletes have the opportunity to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy through participating in these wonderful events!

"Seeing all the athletes cheering for me and Sandra Forde when we lit the Special Olympics Cauldron at Opening Ceremonies was the coolest thing. I wish the other athletes could take my place and feel what I was feeling."

- Sean O'Rouke, member of the Special Olympics 2003 World Team

Special Olympics New York serves nearly 40,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities, providing them with year-round sports training and competition opportunities. In all, more than one million athletes around the world benefit from participation in Special Olympics.

Special Olympics means something different to everyone. Some athletes are most proud of the medals they've won. Others talk about the friends that they've made. Many athletes say that participating in Special Olympics has helped them become more confident, independent people.

Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.  ~Plato

Karl and I will be participating in the NYC High Trek Adventure Race  http://www.hightrekadventure.com on Saturday June 14 and YOU CAN HELP BY  DONATING to our page.

High Trek Adventure is a unique urban adventure game where brains beat brawn! Teams of 2 solve clever clues and face fun challenges all while navigating the urban jungle via foot or on public transit! It's a scavenger hunt, with all the thrills of the Amazing Race, mixed in with Trivial Pursuit, throw in a mini road race and add a dash of cat-and-mouse.

ANY and ALL donations are greatly appreciated - regardless of the amount.

Donating through this website is simple, fast, secure and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to support my fund raising efforts.

Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

You can also visit our team page at www.firstgiving.com/adventurebootcamp

I expect to pass through life but once.  If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.  ~William Penn
