Dear Friends and Family,

Please consider making an end of year gift to help Camp Hi-Rock meet our goal to raise $100,000 through our Strong Kids Campaign.  Every year this campaign provides critical subsidy to our youth summer camp programs and makes it possible for all campers to participate, regardless of their inability to afford camp fees.  In 2010, one out of every 6 campers attended Hi-Rock through our campership program.  This year, the need for a successful Strong Kids Campaign is particularly great as need for camperships has gone up dramatically while many of our non-discretionary expenses have also increased.

We need your support to continue providing the powerful, life-changing experiences that make Hi-Rock such an extraordinary place. 

While at Hi-Rock, campers

• develop lifelong friendships with people whose backgrounds differ greatly from their own,
• establish relationships with counselors from all over the world who serve as role models and promote cultural understanding and respect for others,
• are exposed to fun activities in which they might not ever have the chance to participate elsewhere,
• strengthen their self-esteem as they build and learn new skills,
• encounter one of the most magnificent pieces of the great outdoors while developing an appreciation for its fragility,

• and, dwell within a mountain-top community governed by the character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
