Hi Everyone!
This summer, I will be participating in a life changing adventure & I need your help! I will be participating in the JettRide 2011! I'm on a Roll to Fight Duchenne!!
For 1 month, I will cycle 1,500 miles, from Minnesota, MN to Point Pleasant Beach, NJ!!! I will ride for boys who cannot, boys with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne).
Over the course of 4 weeks, our team will bike through 8 states and over 100 cities/towns. The ride takes off from MN on July 5, 2011 and will arrive in NJ on August 5, 2011.
I will be riding for Jett McSherry, my big brother, who is battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Duchenne is the most common lethal genetic disorder diagnosed during childhood today, affecting approximately 1 out of every 3,500 boys. Duchenne causes loss of muscle function and independence, there is no known treatment or cure for Duchenne.
I am participating in this event, not only because unlike boys with Duchenne, I CAN, but also because the Duchenne community needs much continued support to move ahead with urgently needed research and clinical trials.
With your help, I will ride for those who cannot. Each mile will bring us closer to finding a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy!
If you would like to sponsor my efforts, you may do so here!! If you would rather send a check, please make it payable to the Jett Foundation, 42 Elm Street, Suite 3, Kingston, MA 02364, with my name & JettRide written in the Memo. The Jett Foundation will issue you a tax deductible receipt for your contribution.
Many thanks for your support!! Don't forget to forward this to anyone you think might want to support me as well!
