GOLDEN EMPIRE BASSET RESCUE
has lost their basset transport vehicle. While returning from the Basset Hound Club of Southern California's annual picnic, the air conditioning compressor fell apart and chewed up the serpentine belt. Even though we are not in need of the air conditioning at this time, the belt has to go around the compressor and therefore we have to have it replaced to make the van drivable.
GEBR is a small rescue that is just getting started and we have been over loaded with hounds that have required expensive medical treatment. Take Clemmentine pictured with Bella. She had several mammary tumors that needed to be removed along with needing to be spayed. Before she could have surgery she needed to lose weight. Clemmentine has had her surgery and is her usual crabby self.
Bella came into rescue terribly overweight and had been on a less than optimal diet that gave her skin issues. She is now at a healthy weight and looking for her forever home.
These are just two of the special hounds we have been blessed with. Please help us continue to rescue and help the homeless hounds by helping us fix our van.
